Mt. Shasta -- The One People's Paradise

Mt. Shasta -- The One People's Paradise

“Community is a sign that love is possible in a materialistic world where people so often either ignore or fight each other. It is a sign that we don't need a lot of money to be happy--in fact, the opposite.” - Jean Vanier

I share this quote on the morning after an awesome discussion on the Collective Imagination show, which can be listened to here. One month in Morocco and our vision of establishing a community is quickly coming into focus. Many souls the world over are yearning for deeper connections with others, outside the immediate family. Dreams of living in harmony with one another and the earth paint the slates of our collective conscience, weaving energetic strings that connect us, heart to heart, soul to soul. Each day a symphony, adding a note to the song of creation, guiding us to those of like mind and common vision. When these connections are made, it is as if a light turns on in the Soul, paving the way to opportunities abound of limitless creation. Showing us that we have always had the power to create a life of peace, love, joy and abundance humanity has been dreaming of for eons. For many these dreams are now becoming reality...

The picture above was taken from the back deck of Emerald Springs, one of the most magical and energetically charged places I have ever experienced thus far in this lifetime. It's located right at the base of Mt. Shasta, in a small town called Weed. During the OPAL Tour, I recalled an email I received from a wonderful woman named Elana, regarding her Mt. Shasta (home) which she so warmly offered as a place to stay, should I ever make it up that way. I only wish it didn't take me 32 years to visit the area.

Everything about this place was amazing. All the photos below (the majority of which I took myself) hardly do the place justice. There is an endless amount of beauty to be experienced around every corner in this quaint mountain town. Many spiritual groups have held retreats at this property over the years. Kauilapele called it home for a few weeks during his travels and passed along a review of high regards as the perfect place to unplug and decompress. How right he was! This property sits on fifteen secluded acres of pine, oak & meadow with seasonal pond & stream. There is ample space for permaculture and expansion as the property is lush with opportunity for growth.

To support Elana and her vision, I told her I would share a bit of my experience, to perhaps inspire some of The One People family, as a possible location for a retreat, community, conscious living space, etc. Elana is searching for others to cooperate/collaborate with as she explores future possibilities of creation at Emerald Springs.
